The 7th International Conference on Structural Health Monitoring convened in Tur
14-Sep-2015More than 400 experts in the field of bridge health monitoring from various countries participated in this conference. They exchanged views on topics such as “sensing technology monitoring, maintenance and full life study of bridge”, “vibration monitoring”, “non-destructive testing”, “active, semi active, hybrid and passive control”, “dynamic weighing and related monitoring methods”, “civil monitoring technology and early-stage warning”, “risk analysis and monitoring, interdisciplinary strategy between sustainable and flexible infrastructure and city system”.
Deputy Chief Engineer Zhang Yufeng, Director of Bridge Office Yang Yang, and engineer Sun Zhen were invited to this conference. Sun Zhen made a lecture named “Experiences of SHM application on long span bridges in Jiangsu” at the conference, exchanging his views with the participating experts on such issues as bridge monitoring and early-stage warning index setting, bridge health monitoring system design and implementation and application of monitoring data. Through this conference, JSTI has made knowledge of the most updated information on foreign technology of large-size bridge health monitoring, producing a positive impact on the improvement of bridge health monitoring in our province.
