      Bhikki Project, Pakistan is a super-million MW grade-H gas & steam combined-cycle power plant. For the first in Asia, its design adopts 9HA.01 gas engine, one of the most advanced gas engines in the world. The mono-cycle power in the gas engine reaches about 400MW. Together with heat recovery boiler and steam turbine, they form the gas & steam combined-cycle unit, whose holistic efficiency will exceed 60%, much higher than that of other forms of hydraulic power units and other models of combined-cycled units. With Harbin Electric International as the general contractor, the project was designed by NEPDI. At the same time, Chinovela, which has rich design experience and technical advantages in international power projects, was entrusted to provide design consultancy for the project. It has provided technical support for NEPDI in the project's system design, equipment selection and materials.

      To better secure quality of project design and follow the precise design philosophy, project team of Chinovela has overcome many difficulties such as short construction period, complex techniques, new models and conflicting needs of related parties. By taking its advantages in technologies and communications, it has proposed multiple solutions to technical problems. At the same time, the Chinovela team has worked closely with Lahmeyer (Germany) and NESPAK (Pakistan) engineers for NEPDI and the owner, as well as GE, the American supplier of the principal machine to get their recognition. Besides, the project team has also taken part of the professional and key computation work, thus providing technical support for implementing American standards in the project and for the success of preliminary design plan in passing the review. 

      Since incorporated in 2015, Chinovela has taken the task of design consultancy for Bhikki Project and Balloki Project in Pakistan, the two large grade-H combined-cycle power plants in Pakistan, and the work of optimizing technical plans for the thermal power plants for enterprises in Bolivia and Ghana, etc. Having gained rich experience in international power project consultancy and design, Chinovela is now working closely with general contractor to follow up with design consultancy for power-generating, and power transmission & transformation project in Pakistan and Nigeria, etc. (By He Ping from Chinovela).
