JSTI｜EPTISA and Chinovela provide services for Sinolam LNG
25-Oct-2019EPTISA has partnered-up with Chinovela to provide Project Management and Owner´s Engineering services to Sinolam Smarter Energy LNG Power Co., Inc. The project is a 425 MW combined cycle plant that will supply low-emission power to the grid and will bring jobs and development to local communities. The plant, which will host 6 gas + 1 steam turbines, is located on the Caribbean side of the country near the city of Colon.
With this project, EPTISA reinforces its presence in Panama - started 15 years ago - and boosts its diversification of services in the region. EPTISA plays a relevant role in this project as part of the Chinovela team. Chinovela is a Chinese Engineering firm specialized in industrial and power projects that, likewise EPTISA, belongs to JSTI Group. On the other hand, Sinolam Smarter Energy LNG Power Co., Inc. is majority held by Shanghai Gorgeous Investment Development Co., Ltd.
This combination of local and international stakeholders is a sample of the increasing presence of Chinese companies in Latin America and the capabilities of EPTISA for bridging the gap thanks to its technical expertise as well as its local and international management skills.
