05-Mar-2020
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) provided a loan to the Republic of Tajikistan to support the Dushanbe to Uzbek Border Road Improvement Project, which involves the improvement of the 4.9 km long section of the M41 road within Dushanbe city from the Avicenna Monument to the West Gate.

This project was awarded to EPTISA, who will implement it during 36 months, being its first contract awarded in the transport sector in this country, as well as our first EBRD and AIIB-funded project in Central Asia, becoming a new challenge for us.
This project is aimed to assist the Ministry of Transport and its Project Implementation Unit in the implementation of the civil works by providing construction supervision duties to ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with the contract documents, programme and budget and to the quality standards and environmental provisions stipulated in the contract.
Within this contract, EPTISA will also carry out management and monitoring of Environmental Impacts, administration of the civil works contract, supervision of design works, a Pre-Completion Road Safety Audit of the Works and a detailed inspection of the works prior to the anticipated completion and the taking over and Defects Notification Period.
